This is a terrific video from Eddie Asbie, Executive Director of Admissions for the Two-Year MBA at Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. It conveys the importance of being authentic in the application process and this line, in particular, caught my attention:"We want you to acknowledge any weaknesses to improve yourself both personally and professionally."I think we often think we need to present our 'perfect' selves to gain admission to a top business school like #Cornell #Johnson. It's such a competitive process that it makes sense to feel that way. But the thing is that the MBA is an opportunity for transformational growth and if you don't have anything to work on, one could argue, why do you need the MBA? It's totally fine to acknowledge your weaknesses, in addition to your strengths, and provide a strong argument on *how* the program can help.Think of business school as an "academic" gym and show self-awareness of what you want/need to work on. 😊 The final application deadline for this admissions cycle is April 10.

All things come to an end, and so has my journey of obtaining a Master's degree in Business Analytics from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at AustinConsidering my background in data science, choosing Texas McCombs School of Business was a strategic decision. The program's extensive technical offerings were exactly what I needed that perfectly aligned with my career aspirations — and it delivered on that promise and more. The true surprise was the profound depth of knowledge I gained; knowledge I didn't even realize I was missing. It reminded me of the essential learning cycle: to unlearn and relearn continuously.Over these intense 10 months, I have deepened my expertise in areas crucial for any data science enthusiast aspiring to impact the business world. My studies in Optimization, Advanced Machine Learning, Unsupervised Learning and Supply Chain Analytics, have all taught me the practical application of ML and AI in business contexts which was particularly enlightening, transforming abstract concepts into real-world business solutions that drive progress and innovation.I am deeply thankful for the opportunity to study alongside such a diverse and talented group of peers. The support and teamwork we shared, and the collective wisdom gained from each other have profoundly enriched my journey at McCombs, both personally and professionally.
